PE foam gaskets (polyethylene foam cap liners) are soft, closed-cell foam discs that compress slightly under cap torque to fill micro-gaps on the sealing surface — delivering a dependable moisture and leak barrier even on caps with minor surface irregularities. Unlike rigid liners, the foam conforms to imperfect sealing faces, making it a forgiving, high-yield choice for both narrow bottle caps and wide-mouth jar closures. Sizes are die-cut from 15mm to 180mm with thickness from 0.3mm to 5.0mm, and the foam can optionally be laminated on both sides — a film layer toward the contents for enhanced sealing and moisture resistance, and an adhesive layer toward the cap for a permanent fit.

Do PE foam gaskets need an induction sealing machine?

No. PE foam gaskets seal mechanically under cap torque — the foam compresses against the bottle mouth. With a pressure-sensitive adhesive backing (cap-side lamination), the gasket can also bond to the closure for a more permanent fit. No induction equipment is required.

What does "laminated on both sides" mean and when do I need it?

It means two additional layers are bonded to the foam: a sealing/barrier film on the side facing the contents, and optionally an adhesive layer on the side facing the cap. The contents-side film gives a smoother, more liquid-tight sealing face; the cap-side adhesive keeps the gasket from falling out during transport or high-speed cap lining. Tell us your contents and cap design — we will advise whether plain foam or laminated foam is the better fit.

Are they food safe?

Yes, food-grade versions are available that comply with FDA and EU food-contact requirements; SGS test reports are available on request.

Which thickness should I choose?

Thin foams (0.3–1.0mm) suit standard bottle caps; 1.5–3.0mm suits wide-mouth jars and closures with deeper liners seats; up to 5.0mm for special jar designs. Send us your cap drawing and contents — we will recommend the right specification and provide free samples.

Are PE foam gaskets suitable for hot-fill?

PE foam handles warm contents better than PS, but for true hot-fill or pasteurization processes we recommend confirming your temperature profile with us first so we match the correct foam grade.

Will the gasket fall out of the cap during transport?

Not with the adhesive lamination option — the cap-side PSA keeps the gasket fixed in place. For plain foam, we die-cut to a snug tolerance so the disc stays seated in the cap.

Which closure materials do they fit?

PP, PE and PET screw caps as well as wide-mouth jar closures. Share your closure drawing and we will die-cut to match.

What colors can I choose?

White and black are standard; custom colors are available for brand matching at higher volumes.

What is the MOQ? Are samples free?

MOQ is 50,000 pcs. Samples are free; sample quantity and courier cost are negotiable depending on your location and project.

What is the cutting diameter tolerance? Will liners rattle or jam in the cap?

Precision die-cutting keeps diameter within tight tolerance (typically ±0.1mm). Consistent sizing means the gasket seats correctly in the cap — no rattling, no jamming.

Can the gasket surface be printed with our logo, batch number or warning text?

Yes, custom printing is supported — logos, batch numbers and warning texts are all possible. Contact us with your artwork.

Is quality consistent between batches? How do you control quality?

Yes. We control raw material batches and foam density at incoming inspection, run in-process capability checks, and keep retention samples from every batch so any future batch can be verified against the approved sample.

What are the lead time and trade terms?
