1. Remove water from PET

PET material has strong water absorption. It will absorb a lot of water in the process of transportation, storage and use.


The moisture content of PET raw material particles usual is in 0.1-0.3% (1000-3000ppm).

-Increasing AA (Acetaldehyde). This material will pollute beverage bottles, then change the beverage taste (AA is almost no harmful to health).

-Decreasing IV (Intrinsic Viscosity). It will debase the pressure resistance of  bottles, then let them easy to crack. (Caused by PET Hydrolytic Degradation)

2. Make high-temperature-preparation for PET entering the injection machine for shear plasticization.

The ideal moisture content is 10-40ppm (+ / - 10ppm), 0.001-0.004%.

Over-drying will also increase AA, but decrease IV.( Caused by PET Oxidative Degradation)
